Mon, February 27, 2006 - 11:11 PMuhhh, the can looks cool, it's black and silver. and it's 7% alcohol. i am a huge sparks fan but i think sparks plus tastes pretty horrendous. very hard to gag one down. i can easily do 3 of the regular. it was sickly sweet and tastes too much of shitty malt liquor, imo.
keep working on that formula, sparks peeps, and lighten up on the fuckin sweeteners...PLEASE!!! -

The consensus was that Sparks Plus has a more elegant robe, it is fuller bodied, lighter colored, richer in alcohol, less sickeningly sweet, and overall much more distinguished. But none of us try to gag one, to be fair.
(Note to Disorienters : the picture of Tejawe i have on my phone, which appears on screen if he calls, is of him shotgunning a can of regular Sparks half-naked, standing in my bathtub to avoid sparks splatter on the wooden floors and his clothes... It was a trial run for the Party Bus 2005. Priceless.) -

Sun, April 2, 2006 - 10:15 PMOK I found Sparks plus at a liquor store on 8th and Irving. I'd say the taste is pretty close to regular Sparks, although maybe a little more like liquid Sweet Tarts. Chuggability factor is still good; I can pound a can in about 30 seconds or so. I didn't pass out until 6am so stimulant effect is definitely there.
Overall I don't notice that much of a difference over the regular version, although I WAS hitting the chiba-chiba and a hookah and Southern Comfort shots all night, and someone slipped me a valium. Gets kinda hard to differentiate the buzz from the Sparks over everything else, but WTF.
Hopefully I'll be able to do a more scientific study of the differences of Sparks plus in the future.
